Description: The Cock at Roade is in a small country village, but close enough to junction 15 of the M1, for it to be a great place to stop off. This stone public house was built as a farmer in 1720, and was converted into a drinking hole in 1849, today it is a village country pub with Beer garden, outdoor childrens play area, Great food, Good beer, and lots of Cheer.

Have been meaning to give the Cock a try for some time,so as we were passing by we drove off the main rd for lunch.
Very friendly and table service as well, which was nice, menu quite small but no problem and beer choice good.
Wouldn't hesitate to go again

Went for an adhoc lunch at The Cock this afternoon after enjoying a delicious Fish & Chips there last week...! I had a superb ‘Gourmet’ burger today with extra bacon and Stilton cheese. It was excellent! Also had a lovely pint of IPA too My Wife enjoyed a Chicken Burger and a Pink Gin What a treat...! The food was faultless, the complimentary chips were chunky and hot. The salad was fresh and tasty. Sat outside in the lovely large garden which is always well maintained and has a good play area for the kids. Will definitely be back soon to try something else off the menu...

Had a superb Sunday lunch recently as a group of four. The full menu plus Sunday roasts and specials all available. We had booked for 4.00pm and even though late in the afternoon we all opted for the roast beef which was tender and superb. Huge yorkshire puddings , mountains of fresh veg and really crunchy roast potatoes with lashings of real gravy. A very friendly local pub with a separate restaurant and bar.
