“Comfortable and convenient.”
Reviewed 14 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This is a very comfortable unit with all you need for a self-catering apartment. Everything is in walking distance, including Sainsbury's so you can fetch groceries easily.
On arrival we received a vase of roses, some Betty's shortbread and a date loaf.
Paul and Paula are wonderful landlords and looked after us well.
Sightseeing is a breeze from this accomodation.

“Excellent accommodation in very good location”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Beautifully appointed apartment in an ideal location. Just outside the walls, only 5 minutes walk to Monkgate and another 5 minutes to the Minster. Ground floor looking out onto very well kept gardens where you could sit and relax with a book and coffee or something stronger.

“Lovely apartment, great location!”
Reviewed 26 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Just spent 3 nights here and it really was a great find.

It's in a fantastic location, easy to walk to everything you might to see in York City centre.

The flat is beautifully done, comfy and the booking process was simple and easy.

Couldn't recommend this apartment more!

“Lovely apartment situated a stones throw away from the centre”

(If your looking for a quick breakdown on the apartment just go on straight to the bottom og the review)

We were greeted on arrival by the housekeeper who kindly showed us around the apartment. He was very informative and to the point. Paul and Paula (the owners) had left us a card and some biscuits (yay!).

The apartment was lovely and as described, parking is safe and requires an electronic key to get in/out which we were provided with. The kitchen, though small has all the essentials, we are quite particular so we brought along our own cutlery just in case but there was really no need as the utensils are all in great condition. There are two smart televisions both work great and I could connect my laptop to the TV through high speed Wi-Fi, so we watched a few movies on the TV which I had on my laptop. The bathroom is lovely, our one problem was with the shower. When I used it, the shower was fine lovely and warm, however my wife who went in next ended up having to have a cold shower (oops!). I did press the heating boost the next day but unfortunately the same thing happened. The bedroom is also lovely and though you can sometimes hear people walking past outside we didn't have any disruptions during the night.

Onto York itself, beautiful place lots to do and lots to see. I would definitely recommend going for afternoon tea at Bettys, lounging around the museum gardens and taking a tour of the national rail museum all of which are walking distance from Cloisters walk. The only time I had to use the car was when we went to do some shopping at York Outlets (which is great for all your clothes shopping needs!).

All in all we had a great 3 days/nights in York.

Pros:
Lovely clean apartment as described
Heating in both rooms
Fully equipped kitchen
Complimentary biscuits
Fast WiFi
Close proximity to popular sights and the city centre

Cons:
Shower temperature is sporadic
Bed can be a little creaky
small kitchen
Can't guarantee good weather (though there is an umbrella available to use)
