We saw this memorial after a visit to Clifford's Tower nearby. It is situated in the middle of a road island so is a challenge to get to but interesting and I assume not always at a busy location as it is now.
It is dedicated to the Yorkshire Regiment and a Boer War memorial, that was unveiled at on 25th May 1904.
