Kids were wowed as soon as we entered the appartment - can we live here!
We have a five bedroom Edwardian house, conservatory and three bathrooms - ungrateful gits.
Space for the whole family. Nice terrace to soak up the late evening sun and enjoy the outdoors so close to the centre of York.
Everything you could want as a family, playstation, two bathrooms, and board games - DON'T PANIC was a favourite.
As other reviewers have said - the photos don't do it justice and even though we only stayed 2 nights we actually became house proud. The kids didn't leave things lying around as they wanted to put them away so that they awoke to their lovely appartment again.
Everyone's house has clutter, this has everything you need but no clutter.
Lovely apartment. Balcony views were great too. The location was also great as everything was so easy to get to by walking which was so convenient.
An extremely comfortable and spacious 2 level flat, with views of the Minster from the rooms and the 2 balconies. About a 15 minute walk away from the Minster, we left the car in the garage, unless we were visiting the Dales.
The kitchen is well equipped, having a washer/dryer and full sized freezer and separate fridge and a dish washer - great for easy self catering. Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury are all within easy walking distance. York itself has many great eateries and we enjoyed eating at the Slug and Lettuce, Pizza Express, GBK and the Concerto Cafe.
The beds are very comfortable with linen and towels provided, and of a high standard. The master bedroom, on the upper level, has a large en suite bath and shower room; there's a very large shower room on the lower level, where the kitchen/diner and 2 other bedrooms are situated. The sitting room (on the upper level), which is very comfortable and relaxing, has a large TV and leads on to the large main balcony, which we really enjoyed, especially during the evening after a day's sight seeing. Very comfortable seating on the balcony too. There are about 50 stairs from the entrance up to the apartment, and no lift. Having wifi was great too.
Although situated on a busy road, the apartment has excellent double glazing, and was surprisingly quiet. The garage is secure and there is a secure entrance gate to the apartments.
Laura answered our questions immediately and was very helpful indeed.
We visited the Minster, The National Railway Museum, The York Chocolate Story, The Shambles, took a Cruise on the Ouse and enjoyed excellent tea, coffee and cakes in Concerto Cafe, just along from the Minster. We walked to all these attractions. Betty's Tea Rooms looked great, but were busy and quite pricey, so we bought Yorkshire Fat Rascals (a cross between scones and cakes) and enjoyed them at ''home''.
Farther afield we visited the Bronte Parsonage, Elvington Aircraft Museum and Bolton Abbey, which has great walks for all level of walkers with good tea rooms and toilets along the various walks.
All in all an excellent week's holiday and we'd happily return to Yorkshire and Minster View.
Having a second set of keys to the apartment was really great, thank you Laura for getting them for us.
Lovely big apartment great location nice and clean had everything we needed woukd definitely return in the future
Stayed for a weekend with my family. Its in a perfect location, nice short walk into the town. The apartment was nice and clean and had everything we needed in there. Even had a computer which kept the kids entertained. Would stay here again when we next return to york. Thanks york boutique for a nice relaxing stay.
