Fine for a couple of nights. Good communication during booking. Warm and comfortable. Children's play area right close to the cottage. Ample parking. Dog friendly. Access to the Cinder Way footpath. Great wifi.
It is basic and has lots of wear and tear throughout the cottage. The kitchen is poorly lit with no cooker hood or light and limited knives (no bread knife!). Some cleaning things would also be a big help. The cottage is very close to a sewage treatment works, which sits behind the hedge. This did smell really bad at times and was a bit off putting!
Overall it provided us with good value comfortable accommodation for a quick two night trip. However, if I'd booked a proper holiday here I'd have been disappointed. The overall feel is of somewhere that, at some stage, a lot of effort has been put into but, sadly, has been a bit neglected in recent times. It could be a lot tidier! Not sure how the sewage plant can be overcome though!
A family friendly location, great for walks and a supermarket, and easy to travel to Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay.
Lovely cottage in an excellent location. Within a short walk from sainsburys, and just down the road from Whitby. We stayed 4 nights and had an amazing time. We will come back again soon
Stayed here Monday to Friday just before Halloween. We wanted somewhere good value and good location for walks. It was just that.
