“second time we have been will be back”

Absolutely fantastic place. Looking to book again later in the year. Been twice loved it. Clean warm and well situated for central shops. Home from home.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 14 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

What more can I say about this place other than fantastic??, warm...welcoming...well laid out... everything you could want during a five day stay. Upon arriving it was clear the cottage had been decorated with my thoughts, the little things like milk in the fridge etc was a nice gesture.

The cottage is situated in a very handy location, with parking not an issue (I would advise anyone to use Hanover Hill to park on- loads of spaces), bedding and towels were a major plus.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable accommodation... we will be back...

“Cosy and Warm”
Reviewed 3 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I stayed at Seagull Cottage for 3 nights on a work trip to Whitby. I arrived on a cold wet afternoon with Storm Henry heading over the moors. The cottage was warm and cosy. It was very clean and renovated to a very high standard. Lashing of hot water which was much appreciated after walking the beaches and coastal path. I felt at home and would happily stay here again if ever I return to Whitby,

“Beuatifully rennovated house, excellent location”
Reviewed 29 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Three of us stayed at this house in October, myself my partner and his mother who has issues with mobility. The house is in a great location within easy walking distance of the train station. Parking is a bit of an issue as the recommended parking is not as close to the house as we would have liked for someone with mobility issues, but there are stopping spots near to the house that were good for pick up and drop off, this was especially needed with dropping of the bags! The steps up to the house are quite narrow and uneven but we all managed fine. It would be better if there was better street lighting however but torches on phones were good enough to get us home safely. The décor is lovely and I loved the books left for people to read, a very nice touch, as was the tea and coffee left for us. The view of the abbey form the top bedroom was a nice surprise too. booking and picking up the keys couldn't have been easier. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and we left future guests a little charity shop DVD find of Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter! It was worth a watch but not worth the bag space taking home, so enjoy.
