What a great duplex apartment - all rooms a really decent size and fantastic location in middle of Whitby. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay and would not hesitate to recommend!

This is a very comfortable and cosy place to stay . Lovely new kitchen and very close to all the attractions, pubs and restaurants . Conveniently placed for beach and coastal path . Great with the dog being allowed to stay too.

“Perfect apartment in beautiful Whitby”
Reviewed 19 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We have stayed at 17a Grape Lane four times now and will be back next year, that is a promise. A unique experience, beautifully appointed spotless home from home, everything thought of and now a lovely new kitchen, which is a great family size.
It is positioned right in the middle of the old part of Whitby which is very picturesque, and very convenient for restaurants and pubs.
Grape Lane is dog friendly, which is rare for a beautiful apartment.
Two of our favourite restaurants with the dogs are The White Horse & Griffin (which has just become dog friendly, and the food is great) and Abbey Wharf, which sells very good sea food at reasonable prices, both sell real ale to a very good standard.
Thank you once again for allowing us the pleasure of Grape Lane Emma

“Lovely cottage in the heart of Whitby”
Reviewed 23 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We have been using Whitby Retreats holiday cottage for a number of years now. The place is always immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you need.

There are two bedrooms - a large master double room with en-suite shower room and a lovely view of the harbour and a good sized twin room. A further two beds can also be provided if requested, though these are camp style beds.

The kitchen is stocked with the basic necessities such as tea & coffee, few pots and pans etc and the bottle of wine is always a nice touch. There is also a washer/dryer which is useful is you are staying for more then a couple of days.

The cottage is ideally located on Grape Lane, next to the Captain Cook museum and is a short walk from shops/amenities. There is also a public car park nearby. The Italian restaurant opposite the cottage is also highly recommended but booking is usually advisable.

All in all a great place to stay and we look forward to coming back every year.
