“Great Position, great Presentation”

Located on the quayside with a pub two doors away and within a short walk of the towns restaurants and shops it could not be better positioned. Bur the inside was great, it is not the largest but it is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The welcome pack not only provided the basis essentials )milk etc) but also a welcoming bottle of white wine. Car parking is not easy but this small inconvenience is a small penalty for a beautiful experience. We will return.

“Wonderful location and very clean”
Reviewed 7 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This cottage is in an excellent location over looking Whitby harbour. On arrival we got parked outside the cottage more through luck than judgement as the parking on the road is very busy. However, if you are not as lucky as we were there is a car park a few hundred metres up the road that costs £6.50 for 24hrs.

The cottage was immaculately clean and nicely laid out over 3 floors with a well equipped kitchen (with dining table), sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor. A set of stairs lead up to the double room on the first floor and then on to a twin room on the second floor, both bedrooms overlooking the harbour.

There was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge and some chocolate and ginger cookies on the table which we thought was a very nice touch.

This cottage is an excellent base for exploring Whitby's many tourist sites and shops.

Well kitted out self catering. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Ideal location, just a short walk to the old town. Brilliant views from all floors. Good double gazing, made interior nice cozy and quiet.

“Wonderful place in Whitby”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This place really is a gem... it's a stroll away from everything, shops, restaurants, pubs & of course the famous steps to the Abbey. Bell Island Cottage was nicely furnished, decorated & well equipped. It felt cosy & homely. Also the communication between myself & those running the cottage was clear, friendly & informative. It was a pleasure to stay & we'll come here again.

“Love Whitby and loved Bell Island Cottage”
Reviewed 27 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Lovely homely cottage and was immaculate throughout. Although it was next to the road we hardly heared anything. Location is perfect as nothing is too far away. The walk along the beach to Sandsend is well worth doing and cream teas at Marie Antoinettes on way back is a must! Great place to stay and we will be back.
