Advertised as 'Premier Accommodation' but regretfully far from it. Average room, bathroom facilities poor (antique hairdryer, shower needs replacing, lacking decent toiletries). Greeted very briefly by 'owner' who didn't appear that interested. Breakfast OK. Wouldn't stay here again. OVERPRICED!!

This has got to be one of the best B & B's I have ever stayed in, which was for two weeks while working in the area.
Immaculate in every way. Great breakfasts, excellent sleep quality, good size room with space to work if need be, friendly welcome when you arrive, no faults at all.

A very clean & bright B&B about 8 miles outside of Norwich in a rural setting.
Absolutely silent at night and with the very comfortable 5' double bed an excellent nights sleep.

Breakfast is extensive; yoghurts, cereals, fruit, full English, various eggs, porridge etc.
Very tasty, well presented and good service.
Decor is very tasteful with a lounge area with flat screen TV and DVD player. Access to PC also available. Free Wifi & small flat screen TV with freeview in the room.

Overall a very good stay and reasonable value for money.

We have been staying at Old Thorn Barn for a few years now when visiting Lotus or Snetterton circuit. Danny is a great host - nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very nicely done with big comfortable beds, and spotlessly clean. We have always been able to get early breakfasts, and at times he has organised lunch catering for us when we have been running events. Plenty of safe parking, 20 minutes from Norwich or 2 minutes drive from a great local pub, the Bird in Hand for dinner, a generous and tasty breakfast, local knowledge and any help you need - I can't see he could do anything much better.

We stayed at the Old Thorn Barn over the August Bank weekend and for me, ok being in a rural position helped, one of the quietist rooms I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in.
The reason I only gave it very good and not excellent is that they need to be more flexible in the breakfast times (07.30 - 09.30) and if you wanted a shower or bath I can only hope you are not in a hurry and are prepared to wait as the hot water for your shower seems to take an age along with the bath to fill. I know it is only a small niggle but we feel if you have tea making facilities in your room, which we did, each time the biscuits have been eaten they should be renewed. As always with us its the attention to detail we look for and this B&B comes very close to not only excellent but almost and for us this is high praise Highly Recommended!

Room tip: Ask for Number 1 this is the room we stayed in
