With all the choices in the area glad we picked this one. Lively informal atmosphere, good food and drinks. Staff was friendly and worked great together as a team.

Got the sampler platter for two, plenty of food for 2 and a great showcase of Mexican street food.

Definitely recommend!

I had Wahaca's on a trip to London one evening for dinner. It wasn't the best Mexican but would recommend if you are interested in margaritas and tacos! Also reasonably priced. The vibe is fun and i noticed there is a bar downstairs.

Wahaca in Wardour Street has always been our Mexican restaurant of choice. Great food at reasonable prices & great atmosphere. However, last night was decidedly below par, for both the food & drink and the service.

Don't get me wrong, most of the food was good, but it used to be great! The service was all over the place. We were assigned a waiter but it took ages to grab the attention of any server to place our order. They all seemed to be running around like headless chickens with over false smiles out of the Stepford Wives. As we waited we saw other tables trying to grab the attention of waiters as they either waited to order or, like us, waited far too long to receive our drinks. The drinks themselves were bitterly disappointing. So watered down you could hardly taste the respective alcohol, be it rum, tequilla, etc.. We asked one waiter if he could possibly add a little more rum to my wife's watery mojito and he refused, only offering us a seperate order of rum which we would have had to pay extra for. In both senses of the word, this left a bad taste in the mouth and soured our experience.

Now, I don't know whether this was all due to complacency or a management decision to reduce staff training and cut costs, but compared to past visits you've certainly gone downhill.

Second time visiting this restaurant and the food and service was fabulous again.

Had churros and brownie with salted caramel ice cream for pudding. Yummy.
