Regulars at this restaurant, we have never found it to be anything but excellent in every aspect. The staff are particularly friendly, warm and utterly professional in the execution of their craft - it is always a real joy to eat here.

Its was our honeymoon and I decided to treat my husband to something extra special!

We are in our mid twenties and have eaten at Claridges previously. On arrival you are met by a doorman and shown into the bar area. The staff are extremley attentive and most welcoming.

The dining room is beautiful and very intimate, we arrived at 6.30pm to find just one other couple there which left the atmosphere a little quite. By 7pm the restaurant was filling up and the atmosphere was fantastic. The restaurant has 13 tables and there is a waiting list of 3-4 months so book early to avoid disappointment.

THE FOOD - Utterly fantastic!! and certainly lives up to its 3* rating, we have never tasted food like it before. It walked all over Claridges, I recommend for the desert the ASSIETTE DE L'AUBERGINE (one of everything on the desert menu) it was at no extra cost which I found amazing, you need to order this when you order your starters and mains as it takes time to prepair.

THE STAFF - Superb, knowledgable and made you feel totally welcome

THE BILL - A la Carte 3 course (with 3-4 other little courses) 2 bottles of wine, upgrade on one of the starters and the service charge = £331 yes pricey but well worth every penny an experiance we will never ever forget

Having spend lunch at RGR about a year and a half ago it has been in my top 3 restaurants ( having spend meals in many 3, 2 and 1 star reataurant that is not easy) I decided to go back there last Thursday for lunch.

I'm pleased to say that they are still in my top 3. We went for the a la carte menu and the food was perfect and sublime, the wine we had, a Priorat, was perfect and of course the service was just perfect. Everyone in that restaurant makes you feel as if you're a regular customer and they do everything to perfection. This all is clearly the result of the best maitre D' that I know.

We will be back.

Visited RGR as a last night treat with my partner and our two daughters. We had listened to people saying that the food had not been so good there recently, this was absolute rubbish. The previous night we had dined at Marcus Wareings and although it was good RGR is on a completely different level.Attention to detail was superb and effortless, one of the girls is vegetarian and they spoke to her personally without prompting and made her feel totally at ease unlike the previous night when even after prior warning i still had to ask for a seperate menu. The atmosphere was far more relaxed and although intimate there was still a buzz in the room.Everyone who came to the table had a passion about the food and so they should every dish created by clare and her team was not only beautiful to look at but tasted like nothing we had had before in many michelin star restaurant around the world.Jean claude floated around the tables effortlessly and certainly made us feel at home, its no wander he is so highly regarded.I doubt we will experience this quality in a restaurant until we return to RGR,we even were invited into the famous kitchen to meet Clare making it an evening we will never forget.

We went to Ramsay's for a birthday treat. Booked three months earlier and well worth the wait. Travelled in to London from Oxford and after a show was welcomed by extremely professional and attentive staff. No paper ordering here, they remember your order and write it for the kitchen afterwards. Only 12 tables but at one time I counter 15 staff in the front of house. Every one of them was faultless and an example of how service should be delivered. So many excellent points to cover and nothing at all to critique. Well worth the time and effort to go there... Oh and the food.... Sublime.
