The hotel is centered in Bloomsbury. The street has a number of inexpensive hotels, pensionnats etc. Within easy walking distance of Euston station or King's Cross. A number of eating places in the neighbourhood. The room for two was small, two single beds with a sink and a wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable. Shower and toilet shared in the hallway. The shower room was modern and clean. The room itself very clean, beds were made every day. Breakfast could be bought in a café in the basement, very good service. I wouldn't recommend it if you have any mobility problems. The staircase is narrow and it is hard to lug a big suitcase upstairs, if that is where you are staying. I think there are other options, but we got the stairs.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs ask for a room with easier access.

Thanks for your nice review. You're right to mention our original Georgian staircases - if you have mobility issues please let us know when you book and we can reserve you a room on the ground floor.

Very nice hotel, very clean and tidy room was excellent especially with on suite ( tiny ) but good. Hotel is suituated very close to russell square tube station, with easy access too picadilly line to all major attractions and shows.

Highly recommended hotel well worth the money.

This little hotel has become my London home for my visits - I've stayed about six times and am always amazed and delighted to find such friendly, good value accommodation in Bloomsbury.
My room this time was situated on the top floor (good for the legs) with the usual eclectic mix of nice old furniture from different eras. No neighbour noise at all, good shower, and everything super-clean. Thanks!

The hotel was basic but clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a single, and very small, but plenty big enough for the price, and for what I needed. The communal bathrooms were pleasant and down a single flight of stairs from my room. The only real issue with the room was that there were no plug points: I had to spend several hours each night (for 3 nights) charging my phone in the TV lounge. The lounge itself was pleasant, and usually very quiet.

The hotel works with the lovely Bloomsbury coffee house next door, and residents of the hotel get 10% off breakfast at the coffee house, plus a voucher for a free drink on check-in. The location was the true selling point for this hotel - only minutes away from bus stops, Russell Square tube station, and Euston and King's Cross stations. Perfect as a base for exploring London.

Room Tip: Rooms looking out over the street can be a bit noisy, especially as there were construction works go...

Thanks for your review - just to point out that every room has a least one plug/power point/electricity outlet (some have more) - it's just they are sometimes hidden (ie. under the bed or behind a chair). This is due to old design when it was thought best to hide them. If in doubt, ask at reception. As we are renovating our rooms we're installing more plugs, also with USB ports too (for charging mobiles) - the St. Athans Hotel is entering the 21st Century slowly but surely :)

The hotel is near St. Pancras and the British Museum, so it's a good location to explore the city. The rooms are OK and there are shared bathrooms. It is a good choice when travellling on a budget or looking for a place to sleep after visiting the city.
