We spent an enjoyable time exploring these gardens, taking time out from a busy day of sightseeing. It's a nice place to pop out of the traffic and refresh yourself before returning to the fray. I had hoped to find one of the monuments whose plinth is a "mask" for a tube airvent, but had no success, and also didn't find the Balzagette memorial (the designer), so next time will research more before we go! Remember, these gardens are the ones near Temple and the Savoy, not to be confused with the Victoria Tower Gardens in Whitehall where the Burghers of Calais statue is located (separate review).

I was recently here to meet a colleague and we had a really superb meeting on one of the many benches and seats provided, with drinks obtained from one of the various outlets nearby. The gardens are beautifully maintained, clean and attractive with their many trees, flowers and statues. They make a lovely destination for anyone wanting a quiet sit or a stroll around a very pleasing environment. They are right by Charing Cross and Embankment stations.

We have walked through parts of the gardens and more recently starting from the Temple Station. If you are not in any particular hurry, you can stroll through this series of gardens. Gardens are nice with lovely greenery and statues in the park. You can begin from the Westminster Palace embankment all the way to Blackfriars Bridge. It is more interesting to break up the garden scenery and walk along the river embankment and observe the traffic on the Thames.

My wife and I sat in these lovely gardens having our lunch. It was popular with tourists and office workers but we had no trouble finding a seat. Fortunately it was a warm sunny day and many people were sitting on the grass.

There are lovely flower beds, statues (e.g. Robert Burns) and fountains. It was lovely sitting there watching all the passers-by and relaxing from the bustle of London. Apart from the murmur of passing traffic, it was very peaceful and shielded by trees from the busy adjacent roads..

There is a café.

Well worth visiting for peace and quiet and somewhere to sit down after walking around London.

Exceeded my expectations, even more than Hyde Park. So beautiful to be able to live seeing from your window this beautiful well kept park and the Thames river. Just outside Embankment tuve entrance. Peaceful and quaint. Food available on the premises.
