The room was the classic Ibis layout, quite small, very impersonal but clean and functional. Bed was comfortable. Quite expensive for what you get. There always seemed to be a long wait for the lifts. Location was a bit too far away for my liking, but tube station is pretty close.

Dear KerryB2354,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
We are happy to see that you enjoyed the comfort of your room, although sorry to hear you had to wait for the lift, and that you thought the room to be impersonal.
Ibis is a standardized brand with a similar size and facilities for all accommodations, and we are sorry that on this occasion we did not exceed your expectations.
However, we appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you again in the future, and offer you a fully enjoyable experience.

Sincerely,
Guest Experience

The location is very good! The nearest tube is around the corner that brings you everywhere. Also the Big Ben is 'only' a 30 min walk. For a city trip this was peanuts! ;-)
Breakfast was very good as well, there was a lot to choose from and the quality was also very good.
At the hotel bar we ordered drinks and we paid by contactless debit maestro card. After the transaction, the bar staff said the transaction was not approved, so we paid by credit card again. Unfortunately the first maesto card did approve according to our transaction details..
Unfortunately the room was a bit noisy during the night. But the room was spacious enough and has everything you need like a showergel, hairdryer and coffee, tea facilities. Thanks a lot for our stay!

I generally like Ibis chain because it is a known brand with known standards. We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were amazing and super helpful. Online check in and check out made life so much easier. The room was good. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent. The room had complementary coffee, tea and a kettle which to me are a must in a hotel.

There is no much choice for breakfast. The room is small. When we received our room the bathroom was partially clogged and smells we had to call them to fix it. The bathroom is quite small you will pump into the walls. Its in a quiet zone of the city but if there is something a bit loud outside you can hear it nice and clear even though I was on the 7th floor. The ironing is available only in a small room on the 5th floor.
The price was cheaper compared with what I searched at the timeline of my staying with my standards of search.

We arrived after 3.30pm, our room wasn’t ready and apparently there were two other couples waiting so we opted to return after a drink and a walk. Check in team were happy to store our luggage though. On our return we were told we had an upgraded room allocated to us. I’m not sure what the upgrade was as we already paid extra for a city view and the room was very basic, small, plastic pod bathroom in the corner, the air conditioning only worked properly by the door, definitely no frills. Single use plastic covered plastic beakers in the bathroom. The room was clean.

Breakfast was chaos, had to wait for a table on both mornings and one day they ran out of cutlery. The food wasn’t great so only ate toast and fruit on the second morning. At one point some staff were virtually running to keep up with table clearing/ food replenishment in order to keep up with the number of guests.

Just less than £200 for one of the nights we stayed; very budget room and service. I’ve stayed in London for far less cost at other budget hotels. Location was good though, right next to Blackfriars tube station and the river with some good bars and eateries nearby.

Sadly we won’t be returning.
