Grand Plaza Serviced Apartments

The building is in a great location; easy to find, good local shops/restaurants (particularly if you like Persian cuisine) and short walking distance from the Bayswater tube station. Hallways and corridors are tiny, plus the layout could be improved - there are three different elevators (lifts) and they don't seem to connect anywhere. If you get on the wrong lift you cannot get to your part of the building.

We had a room at the corner of the building and it was superb value for the money. Spacious (by European standards, although USA visitors will still find it cramped), clean, nice features/appliances and big windows that opened wide to let in plenty of fresh air. The side of the building overlooks a nice little park.

We will definitely stay here again next time we visit London!

The Plaza is well located, within about 300 metres easy walk of Bayswater station. There are plenty of little shops and eateries close by, as well as a Sainsbury and Tesco Express. The rooms are however quite a tight squeeze, though if you are not planning to spend too much time in them that shouldn't be a problem. The bed we had was not very comfortable - the duvet didn't even cover the top of the bed let alone both of us! In general the room was clean and tidy, with plenty of drawers for storage space.

It was not an easy task to find a suitable hotel near the center of London for the family with two children. We decided to book the Apartments and... wow... it's realy great. It's located just five minutes walk from several metro stations in a quiet atmosphere. Studio+bedroom - enough space for four people and their luggage! Personell is very friendly and professional, housekeeping is regular and enough effective. We really would recommend to stay here for a reasonable money with short distance from all London famous places.

Room Tip: Apartments for 6 persons is a best choice for a family of 4th.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Grand Plaza apartments give you the independence and catering flexibility of your own home together with the comfort and service of a 4* hotel. Think of us as your home, but with cleaning, catering, porters and reception staff thrown in. Serviced apartments are the new direction for the hotel industry. They provide a ready made home rather than a ready made room. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen. You choose whether to enjoy your own home cooking or try the Grand Plaza Breakfast or visit one of the myriad of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel (or heat up a takeaway!) Grand Plaza is the largest Hotel/Apartment complex in Bayswater. We won the 2009 award for best serviced apartments in London as a result of votes from the readers of Business Destinations Magazine. We accommodate more people each day (tourist, leisure, romantic and business) than any other Serviced Apartment Hotel in the area.We are located in the centre of the West End overlooking the precise type of garden square which Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts climbed into in the Golden Globe nominated film, Notting Hill! We look forward to providing you with a home in central London. ... more   less
