I have had take away from Feringgi Bay before and really enjoyed it. I went in yesterday for lunch and it was deserted. I had hot and sour soup which had tons of tofu in it and not much else. The vegetables in it were raw. My husband went for chicken satay which was so tough he sent it back. They did take it off the bill. My husband was not familiar with a particular dish but the waitress could not explain how it was cooked. I, being a vegetarian, opted for Chinese and straw mushrooms in oyster sauce which came with plenty of uncooked brocolli. Portion control. We were the only people in there and couldn't wait to get out.

I really like this place. When these guys say something is hot they mean it's hot.

They have a fairly wide selection of dishes as well as juices and smoothies.

The price for mains are around £6-8 and their portions are off good size.

I would particularly recommend the tomyam seafood rice. It's spicy and delicious.

They place is not halal.

In terms of sitting in and eating whilst it is perfectly adequate it is not somewhere one should take a date to, well atleast not on a first date.

There are plenty of parking nearby.

Everyone please note the restaurant remains close every Wednesday for some reason

Ever since the demise of Oriental City in 2008, the local area has been sadly lacking in the community spirit that once existed. Ferringi Bay restaurant, however, offers a small oasis in this desert. Previously known as Oriental Garden based in Oriental City, they offer a good selection of Malaysian dishes, including such delicacies as braised beef and tendon soup noodles, and typical dishes such as laksa. Good size portions and the staff are ever helpful and polite.
