The apartment was located on a side street near Waterloo Station. The street has everything you would need: plenty of restaurants, a grocery and hardware store, pharmacy, etc. What was really wonderful were the pop-up eateries that were there throughout the day - it was fun! The bar across the street was a little loud sometimes but it was World Cup, so that was to be expected.
The apartment was very clean. Owen greeted us at a prearranged time and showed us around the apartment. It was incredibly handy to have him show us where things were kept and how to use the washer/drawer and dishwasher. There were some items already stocked in the apartment allowing us to not have to purchase some supplies, which was very kind. The apartment wasn't perfect (the flooring needs some work and can be heard from above), but it fit all our needs. Again, it was very clean and met all of our requirements for a 10 day holiday. I would stay there again.
Note: if you plan to visit during the summer it does get warm. We purchased an additional fan (there was already one there) to allow better airflow in the bedroom while we slept as there is no air-conditioner unit, which is standard in homes there.
Thanks again, Owen! We had a lovely time.
Stopped in flat for 2 nights, it was clean, tidy and comfortable for the five of us. A lot to see and do in the immediate area, excellent transport links and a number of good restaurants within walking distance.
Very convenient location, near Waterloo station. Good neighborhood, some interesting shops & eateries. We felt very safe at all times.
The flat is very well furnished, including cleaning supplies, coffee, tea, the kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of storages space for luggage and clothing. We were a group of five, grandparents, daughter, two grandchildren ages 11 and 8. Our stay was six nights. All beds were very comfortable, and the flat was quiet, we slept well.
Karly was very helpful, we arranged for an early check-in, our flight arrived at 8 AM.
There are several flights of stairs to the flat, and stairs to the bedrooms within, however, two of us in our early 70's negotiated these easily.
No hesitation to recommend this flat. We would consider staying again.
