“Great Hotel in Central London”
Reviewed 25 September 2012

Booked via their website & got a great deal. Friendly, welcoming staff from the doorman to reception to the Cleaning ladies.

Room was very spacious esp for Central London, although bathroom was small but everything was clean & worked perfectly. The windows in the room opened, nice to have some fresh airfor a change.

Main plus point for me was that sky sports was available in the room for no extra charge as was internet access.

Prices for this property vary, Their own website seems to offer the best deals.

Room Tip: The higher up you go the better, less noise from the street.

Only stayed 1 night so did not use spa. Part of a birthday break for my husband - booked a standard double but on checking in was given a superior king (thank you holborn) which included robe, slippers and lovely fruit tray. Room was a bit cramped, bathroom was an excellent size. Breakfast was great - (not hilton standard) - and continental would have done me but my husband enjoyed the full english. Bar prices were expensive. very close to holborn tube station and as others have said within easy walking distance to covent gardens. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again for a short break. Noisy street - lots of sirens but you are in london

Room Tip: higher floor i think

I think the staff were good, especially the concierge who went out of his way to help (and got us a table at somewhere that's impossible to get a table!). Got the room through Lastminute top secret hotels system so the price was reasonable (£135 with their 20% off offer). Not really a 5* room, more like 4* really, bathroom was really tiny, only room for one person at a time, but hotel is in a good location, all in all it was absolutely fine.

Just come back from this hotel - a very pleasant experience the staff are very friendly and very welcoming all acknowledge you politely - concierge very helpful.. The only thing that would have been nice i was on the second floor and the bathroom was very small you could have a wash, bath and toilet at the same time its that small. The spa, swimming pool, steam and sauna was all very nice and the staff very helpful as i wanted massage at short notice.. Compliments would be happy to visit again.

If you are looking for a weekend break in London and don't want to pay too much but want a good standard this hotel is ideal. We paid £85 a night for two people, plus breakfast in August 2012 which is great value for London. The hotel rooms are large and clean, with tea, coffee, nice bathroom, robes and big TV. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, it gets very busy at peak times (9-10am) and you have to pay extra for full English but good standard for Continental if you like hams/cheese bread etc. The pool is lovely, a rarity in a London hotel! Very good location to Holburn Tube and within walking distance of Covent Garden.
