We were looking forward to a nice relaxing meal, but the service staff were not that friendly or accommodating. We wanted a different table but they wouldn’t let us switch. Also, had the sense they wanted to up-sell - brought bottled water instead of tap and seemed to want us to order more food. Then tried to clear the table before we were done. The food was quite good, but based on the service, I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Myself and my colleague were looking for a place to eat on Thursday night. We walked into the Grand Indian Restaurant as it seemed to be the only one in the area with loads of free tables...I should have known there was a reason for it. I never came across such rude service staff!!! Those people should not work in customer service roles!!

We stopped by there to eat lunch, the restaurant was basically empty. We were sitted down and when we asked to order one main dish and one starter, the waiter grabbed the menu out of my hand and proceeded to basically kick us out of the restaurant because we had to order two curry dishes at least, when I asked him why he said that was their policy and showed us the door - super rude!!!!. I would imagine a place that has no clients would want to make them feel welcome... Two thumbs down!!!

We dined here on our last night in London (26th December). What a mistake that was. We love good Indian food, but sadly this was way off the mark. The samosa was probably the worst we have ever had, and the curries (madras and a jalfrezi) lacked any real flavour and the meat was not tender at all. Waiters were sullen and served us grudgingly. Not sure why they bother running a business. Pity we hadn’t read the reviews before we ate here.

We were seated by a very rude host who continued to knock over items on the table throughout the night. After our orders were placed, we waited over an hour for what was very average food - not even hot enough. Left very disappointed, with a very expensive bill.
Will definitely not be returning anytime soon!
