Although the receipt suggested we tell Trip Advisor about our experience, this stupid site has no idea of its existence. Well done if you have got here!
On Level 1 of the BARBICAN CENTRE in London, is the Members’ Lounge. You need to be a Barbican member to come in but if you are not you are already missing out on great discounts on the Arts and all the shops here.
The Members’ Lounge is on Level 1 and is an oasis for pre show, interval and after show drinks and snacks. You look over the hustle bustle of the show-attending crowds, the architecture and the changing foyer sculptures and you get your drinks and bar food served at the comfort of your table while others are pushing in queues to crowded bars for drinks they have to gulp in plastic cups.
Ahhhh... the peace, the relaxation.
And ...even better, you’re a resident, you aren’t going to the show tonight. Have a special offer bottle. Relax. Don’t worry about rushing out with the show crowds.
Hidden gem. Enjoy!

Went for a drink and a snack before the theatre. Nice relaxed atmosphere and EVA our waitress was friendly and helpful. The bottle of wine at £12.00 was great. However the charcuterie platter at the same price was awful. No imagination whatsoever. Two pieces of ham, four slices of salami, four pieces of dry bread, some roasted tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. Not even a lettuce leaf! I have had better in some of the well known chain restaurants. Would return for a drink but wouldn’t eat there again.

This is a buzzing yet attractive place to catch up with friends and taste some lovely food. Slightly on a pricey end but nicely presented and matching the atmosphere
