For anyone arriving at or departing from Paddington the Mercure is the perfect hotel - adjacent to the station with comfortable clean rooms and a warm and helpful reception staff.

One word of warning - be very careful when you make a booking as any error can cost you a lot of money (unlike Premier Inns who are understanding in the case of innocent error)

Stayed here on last night in UK morning plane next day. hotel just across road from Paddington station and quick trains to Heathrow.
Plenty of pubs and resturants within 5 mintue walk verk convient, but it does get noisy but you expect that.

Despite knowing well that the air con was not functioning room no 504 was allotted . Many rooms in this floor has problem.this was confirmed by some of the staff.

Lodged complaint thrice on both days and no response by repairing the air con or shifting to another room.

Suffered for two nights under no air con or ventilation.

The room size is mercure in lower case in width and MERCURE in uppper case in length. Designed by a lilliput for a lilliput !!!

A letter more will land in Paddington. Over priced and overly sought after only for location. Living on locale advantage

I was very pleased of this hotel's services.The price-quality ratio was very good,even though its strongest point is its central position.Also,the staff is very friendly and helpfull,especially Mr. Witek,who was one of the reasons i wanted to write this review.

I recently stayed at this hotel in early July for work. The company prearranged my travel bookings and went to great length to ensure that my stay was pre-paid. They filled a 3rd party travel arrangement form, supplied the company credit card and had everything set up before I arrived. Much to my dismay, the staff at the Mercure would not honour this and demanded they see the original credit card, to which I stated I do not have it but it has all been prearranged. Upon check our, they demanded that I pay the hotel with my own personal credit card. Since I have arrived home, both my credit card and the company's credit card have been charged, and any attempt to rectify this problem has been slow and not forthcoming. Many email exchanges three weeks later and my credit card has not been reversed despite empty promises. I would have thought the Mercure was a reputable hotel chain, but after this encounter I am left with no other alternative but to let other travellers know not to trust this hotel.
