“Fit for Lords”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2012

Having glanced at some previous reviews, the works being carried out on the floors below us and the slightly dismal corporate photos I was more than a bit pleased to find it fitted the bill perfectly. The staff were very helpfull, the breakfast good: but try and get it included! and the bed rooms very clean and recently refurbished -(8th floor).
We were there for Lords and you won't find a better location to fall from your hotel straight onto the pitch - virtually. If you are lucky enoughg to be staying during a home game I am quite sure that the atmosphere of the large comfortable bars would be great.
All in all a good hotel at a reasonable price with helpfull staff.

Room Tip: Renovations on 5th and 6th floors - go higher if you can, 8th was far enough away for no noise.

We lived at St Johns Wood before we moved from the UK and so this visit was just to glimpse back into the past. My advise would be to know this area as the hotel is not in zone 1. Going to zone 1 is easy enough - there's the tube station (8 minute walk) and the bus stops are just outside the hotel - but it takes about 20 minutes to Bond Street with the bus and about 5 minutes to the London Zoo by bus.

This is a great hotel is you want to enjoy views of Lords Cricket Ground, visit Regent's Park for a stroll, enjoy a canal walk down to Maida Vale and basically seep in some local London flavour while still being close to the tourist areas.

Beware that the breakfast here is very dear: 16 GBP for an adult and 5 GBP for a child, if you buy it at the time. Try to have it included in your room rate if possible as there are very few breakfast options immediately out the door, unless you walk a few minutes to St Johns Wood high street (Starbucks, bakeries and lots of cafes).

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the cricket grounds.

Stayed here for business. Good location - a little walk from the tube but regents park is worth the walk.

Hotel inside is far better than the external view. Inside - staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good - good quality, comfortable, perfect for the stay. Elsewhere, all clean and tidy and good standard. Good hotel - enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

Great location, easy to get into town & Camden by bus, peaceful room, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast & gorgeous cheesecake. So much better than much more expensive London hotels. And parking :-)

Everything was just tip top and there are no negative word to put on this hotel. Of course you can allways make something better or have swimming pool etc. and of course every guest and visit is different, but I really think that Danubius in London has hit the goal.
