My 11-year-old son and I stayed here in March using a discount site for a 'basic' twin-bedded room, and got far more for our money than we ever expected! Heated bathroom floors, a tv above the large bathtub, international adaptors, chargers for our 'modern' appliance, kettle and tea/coffeemaking accoutrements, comfortable beds and good linens -- everything but a view, but who cares! London is designed to be enjoyed, and we were out and about all day, with no time to gaze out the window. The location of the hotel is perfect -- across from the Embankment Tube stop and Hungerford Bridge, on the Thames. Apparently the hotel does have wonderful rooms with views, but we didn't get one, or need one. You can walk to all the 'major' sites from here, if you're a walker. And if you're not, there are many good pubs within a block or two. Don't miss the buffet breakfast -- it is an extra cost, but well worth it, a wonderful English breakfast spread. We will definitely stay here next time we come to London!
