We stayed as a couple for an overnight on a visit to London at the end of July. Picked mainly for its location, the hotel ticked all our boxes.
Close to Russell Sq. tube so easy to walk to with a wheely bag. Reception staff were really helpful and we were able to check in an hour earlier than the official time. I had requested a quiet room at the rear of the hotel to avoid the traffic noise from the main road and we got exactly what we needed.
The room was not large but big enough for our needs. In good decorative order. Especially appreciated the aircon which was also nice and quiet. The windows do open but the smell of cooking meant we kept them closed. Not a problem.
The hotel restaurant and bar were good but be prepared to pay London prices for drinks.
There are a couple of pubs in the small road next to the hotel which are good value.
The hotel is pretty central, with the British museum only 5 mins walk and Covent Garden and theatre land only 10-15 mins on foot.
All in all, good value for the location. Would definitely consider using again.More
