Owner description: The best British designer-makers market. The indoor market dates back to 1737, and is the only in London located on a World Heritage Site. The range of antiques and independent designs is even better when you arrive via Thames riverboat. Open Monday-Sunday 10am-5.30pm. Craft stalls: Mon, Wed and Fri-Sun. Antiques and collectibles: Tue, Thurs and Fri.

Just found this place by accident when we walked back from the observatory. The atmosphere of the market is really vivid, with a tons of food stalls from Jamaican to Scottish. I personally found this a way better than the market in Camden or Covent Garden. This is a must if you are around.

I was in Greenwich this week, last time I was here I arrived late so the market was closed. This time I made sure I was early and absolutely loved the place. Some of the finest market food you will find. From Thai,Chinese to Brazilian and Mexican. I could spend all day in there sampling the different foods. Will definitely be back.

I love markets!! Greenwich market is not huge but has a wealth of stalls selling a whole array of nicnacs, antiques, clothes, jewellery etc. There are also a number of food stalls - so much to choose from. We ended up with hummus and felafals and then had some spring rolls. £6.00 for lunch for two!! The only downside was the lack of seating. We visited on a very wet day but the market is covered which makes it ideal for any weather.

Cosy little market strategically located in an attraction-rich neighbourhood: Next door to Cutty Sark, and stone shot away from the Maritime Museum, the Queens House and the entry of the Greenwich park. There are several small stands for handcraft, not cheap, but nice. Good opportunity to buy souvenirs if not on a tight budget. The market also features a food court with Italian (southern), French (crêpes), Chinese, Indian, Spanish, Turkish and few other stands plus an espresso cart (very decent ristretto). Prices were reasonable for the moderately generous portions and the food enjoyable. We tried the Italian and the Indian, both were pretty tasty.

For those planning to spend the day in the neighbourhood, this place offers the right option for a quick yet tasty lunch.
