“Feel at home with premium service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

This place is located in a hot area for design shopping and brunch places, and only a few steps from South Kensington tube station (3 major lines across London)

The venue is composed of a few british style homes linked together which keeps the area look like a residential street rather than a hotel.
Rooms have been decorated in a typical british home style, just like the guest areas and dining room. This place is a MUST go for those who are sick of large hotel lobbies and frequent passage of people around you while reading peacefully around the fireplace.
Also, the many living room style invite you to engage in conversation with local customers while at the same time keeping a feeling of privacy.

Room Tip: I did not see any elevator while going to my room, maybe this is something to check if needed.

Our family of 4 stayed here during Easter and had a hard time leaving one of the worlds most charming hotels. This is a home from home place were you feel instantly comfortable and we were able to enjoy an upgrade and stayed in 2 deluxe rooms on the 2nd floor, both beautifully furnished, with a small sitting area, a small walk in closet and with large bathrooms with tubs. The larger room faced the opposite, beautiful estates of Sumner Place, the other the quiet, green courtyard.
Everything is lovely at Number Sixteen. A beautiful drawing room and library for hanging out, having a drink from the honesty bar or Afternoon Tea. Breakfast is either served here or in the sunny conservatory facing a fantastic 'secret garden'.
Breakfast is served from a large buffet with fresh fruit and berries, yoghurt, granola, great bread and croissants. We loved our mornings here.
But the most wonderful thing about this place is not the carefully selected interiors, fabrics or the fantastic modern art downstairs - it's the People! If you are looking for perfect service this is the place. The staff is extremely service minded, and seems to take a genuine pleasure and pride in being a part of this charming house. Smiley happy people just make your day beautiful and at number Sixteen you will be rewarded with a smile no matter what staff you meet.
We can't wait to go back.

I had the chance to both stay at Hotel Sixteen and hold an event at its sister property, The Soho Hotel. Both are lovely places to stay and in excellent locations. I was lucky to have a junior suite at Hotel Sixteen, so the size of the room was quite large. The most amazing thing this hotel offers is a courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast, a midday tea or glass of wine. Also, the honesty bar is a nice, convenient touch. I will definitely stay here again.

I was afraid if I wore blue jeans, I would not be able to fit in the bathroom door! Seriously, the bathroom is so small you can brush your teeth while you're on the toilet! And the space between the bed and the wall is the size of a small night stand.

But the beds are oh so comfortable, the shower (no tub) is large and the water is not bashful. The location is extremely good, about a 3 minute walk to South Kensington tube. There is no restaurant, but you can get room service anyway, and they have a lovely afternoon tea you can have in their gorgeous garden or sitting at a small table in the lobby.

I plan on returning to London soon and I will definitely book with them again!
