Both the interior and exterior of the museum are extraordinary, definitely a must-see. Some exhibits are wonderfully assembled (like the dinosaur exhibit! ) but others are painfully outdated (human biology exhibit). Still well worth a visit, despite the queue - especially because it's free!

I took my husband here, which on announcing we was going to a museum he gave me a blank unenthusiastic look like i had gone insane, But after we had been he was miffed that they was closing up and he couldn't stay for longer.....This place is everything under one roof it's magical, mysterious, educational exciting hands on fun for all ages, so much to take in, the exhibits are outstanding and the way they bring things to life really make it easier to understand the world we live in and what used to be without even realising your being educated, the dinosaur section is set it an elaborate part of this historic building, if you ever wanted to feel as tho you was in the movie "night at the museum" then this is the place to go, The museum is Free to visit and relies on donations from the public, but can i just stress that this is a truly magnificent building and museum and is well deserving of a generous donation i can promise you will want to visit again and again and will want to tell everyone what you saw and learnt on your visit.

We queued for half an hour to enter but it was Easter weekend so I guess it's to be expected. Our first stop was the dinosaurs. The exhibition was too busy to enjoy. We were ushered like cattle and told to keep moving - no time to see anything in detail. If you are planning a visit make sure you see this part very early or very late when it will be quieter. The rest of the place, whilst worthy and packed full of information was just a bit dull. Case after case of stuffed animals became a little repetitive. There was a lack of interactive exhibitions to break the stuffed animals up. Worth seeing as the building is amazing but not worth a repeat visit.

I love going to the Natural History Museum. If I ever have time to pass in London, I will find myself gravitating here. The building is massive and filled with all sorts of interesting things. There are things for every member of a family to do. My favourites: the dinosaur section with the T-Rex to meet and the escalator through the earth, where you can find out about the treasures within the earth.
Food here is not cheap, much as you would expect in any tourist attraction and try to come outside of school holidays as it is always heaving at this time. Top tip: use the side entrance and you will get in quicker. Be aware that there are bag checks at the entrances.
