Took a river trip up to Greenwich from Westminster visiting the Cutty Sark and Maritime museum, lovely grounds and parks plenty of room for the kids to run around unfortunately due to boat going back to Westminster we did not have time to go to the Royal Observatory which is something i have always wanted to do,so that will be my next trip to Greenwich !

It is well worth a visit for at least a day. Take the water taxi[use oyster card]. Lots to see there too. The last tea shipper-the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum with Admiral Nelson'e coat with the deadly bullet hole, the National Observatory, world home of time at the top of the hill with amazing views. Henry VIII born here too. Much more.

had an amazing weekend here with my son. Went to all the free museums, plus a couple we paid for-worth every penny. Plenty of places to eat and drink, and not to busy, the market is a must!!!

Vintage markets, antique-ish markets, food stalls for every taste, the vast and free National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, the old Naval College and a great view of all this with the City of London, Docklands and the peninsula laid out before you from the park - what's not to like?
