Tower bridge is a super cool and super laid back tourist attraction/historic place in downtown London. No reservation needed & the tour is self guided. There are docents available to tell you the history and answer questions. There is also a glass floor on the connecting spans that you can walk across (if you are brave enough). It is really cool to look down and see the boats on the Thames crossing directly under you.

The bridge allows you to see the city as those workers of the past did, and also see the huge engines and inner workings of the bridge.

I absolutely loved the Tower Bridge. Don't miss the gift shop at the end!

Thank Jamie P

One of the best things to see in London and absolutely free unless you go inside. The views down the river and of the tower are also great

To think this bridge is well over 125 years old it is an amazing engineering feat. Originally steam drive with 300 plus horse power. To go to the top level and look at the road and Thames river below you have choice of walking or taking a "lift" up. Then going down you can see the old engine rooms This was a highlight of London for me. Put on your list of must see and do.
