Owner description: Open 7 days a week, it is the perfect antidote to the high street. We bring together small producers with local creatives and artisans, original independent retailers and a few well-known brands under one historic roof. Our daily market is home to a selection of carefully chosen traders, craftsmen, artists and artisans alike, picked for the quality of their product, and the stories they have to tell. We are interested in how things are designed, the creative process and the interesting people who produce the products you’ll find here. We champion quality and responsibly sourced products and we assess each operator individually on this basis. In the centre of the market floor you will find our ten fully fitted kitchens where we showcase exceptional contemporary and authentic cooking. We are proud to offer new levels of quality and variety in the dishes prepared by our chefs and operators, many of whom have already established great

I have heard about this market for a while and this morning I managed to pay a visit. It was easy to get there by taking tube “Central Line” and got off from the Liverpool Street. It is a nice place, especially this morning the weather was sunny and warm makes the trip more beautiful. The market is actually indoors and well planned. The stalls are grouped well and lined up one after another. The products are quite creative, special and interesting. It is pity there are not many stalls, in other words it is a small market.

Visited here 16th May,lots and lots of food stalls, but a lot of them are a rip off for the portions you get.In the end settled for some Greek style wraps which were nice though on the expensive side. But then i suppose thats what you get being right next to the City Of London square mile

Not worth a vist these days, used to be a top market now ruined by current owners, if u want great food Borough market is the place to go, or for old school market Portobello Green Market (still Londons best) Fri Sat Sunday, Sunday is my fav day less busy village atmosphere.

Being an avid anorak into all sorts of music ,particularly jaaaaaaaaaaaazzz,,I always endeavour to pay the market a visit on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month to have a rifle through the bargains on offer.

The pop up restaurant caravans always offer you a free taster of their fare so if you indulged every day one could possibly resemble Mr Creosote.

Also noticed today the smashing fish pond on the boundary of the market full of goldfish.

Only thing that was lacking was a few red eared terrapins on the lily pads!!!

The venue is great and the food selection was great. But as for the shopping, there was a fair amount for women and that’s it. Very little original art or craft, not much for kids to see.
I think there are better times to go when there are specific art shows or antiques, but you need to check the schedule BEFORE you go. The day we went it was very mediocre.
