I've eaten in other Comptoir Libanais' and always really enjoyed it but this branch isn't of the same standard. We went at 5:45pm before the theatre. Some of the food was served within 15 minutes and was nice but other meals didn't come out until 6:45pm. The later food wasn't well cooked but it was too late to complain. They'd obviously forgotten about us and just chucked some food on a plate. Very disappointing.

My husband and I visited Comptoir at the Haymarket on Saturday 24/03/18 for dinner before going to the theatre.
We have previously eaten several times at Comptoir in Reading and had enjoyed it and assumed that we would have a similar experience at Haymarket. However to our disappointment the restaurant lacked in atmosphere, and was very cold, due to an over active automatic door which seemed to open constantly. We were also blasted by very powerful air conditioning, situated above our seats.
We were so cold we put on our scarves and eventually our coats!
Other diners were also eating with their coats on. Not what you expect when out for dinner.
The 2 women sitting next to us told the male waiter who had been serving us that that they were cold and asked if he could do anything about the door. The waiter told the women that he would get back to them with their query. We were delighted and thought finally something is going to happen - they might put the heating on!!!
However instead of being helpful the waiter was very abrupt and rude stating that when customers come into the the restaurant the doors open and he can hardly turn them away??? And then turned on his heals and walked away!!! I was astonished!! How Rude - no customer service skills at all!!
We had intended staying for desert and coffee but were so cold decided to go elsewhere! When we eventually received the bill it must have taken a further 20 mins before we were given the opportunity to pay! We were clearly dissatisfied however the waiter did not address this!
We will never eat in one of your restaurants again! £50 +for a very cold unpleasant dining experience is not one we want to repeat!

The food was not particularly memorable, the service was friendly, although there was a delay with our order, not a big deal. The decor is quirky and relaxed.

We were grabbing a quick bite before the movies in Leicester Square. Sunday evening, no rush. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. Waitress was friendly enough and seemed efficient. First round was quick - the soup was quite oily, the mezze for one was enough for two. Once the restaurant got busy, the service came to a halt and our coffees took way too long and the water never appeared. Food was fine.

I went to this place just because invited by some friends and I should have stayed home. Very slow service, carelessness, colder than outside (whilst snowing). Should I add anymore?
