The hotel is a mixture of modern and traditional and has many of the original Victorian quirky features, which give it both character and soul; attributes sadly missing in so many group hotels these days.
The staff cannot do enough to help, although respect your privacy, and offer an abundance of the warmth and humour for which Liverpool has become famous.
The spa is well equipped and meticulously clean. The treatments are affordable and worth every single penny. I had the full body massage and the foot journey and can honestly say, I have never felt so relaxed and refreshed after such a treatment.
Breakfast is both slick and informal and the choice on offer is broad and delicious! The dinner menu caters for all appetites and tastes and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is a choice of dining area, depending on preference and the lounge bar and library offers a more relaxed, informal and intimate experience whist not compromising on service or standards.
The accommodation is absolutely exquisite and the rooms are immaculate and extremely tasteful. I stayed in the Lexi Suite, which was absolutely amazing; spacious and airy but cosy and homely.
The check-in was quick, efficient and personal, and at all times I felt welcome.
I wouldn't hesitate to return and cannot recommend this fabulous hotel, in such an amazing city, highly enough. Come and stay and see for yourself!!!More
