Was a fantastic beer festival sadly ruined by a seriously lacklustre beer selection and seriously greedy overpricing, don't bother unless you want to experience the fantastic ambience of the church itself.
Best part of the festival in the last few years has been the pies and cheese....

The committee have worked extremely hard to save this iconic building. The sandstone construction is outstanding with beautiful striation. Liverpool Organic Brewery run beer festivals several times a year inside, which are always excellent. Regular markets are held, as well as other events. It is available for hire. Well worth a visit!

Old Christ Church Waterloo Liverpool England has a tremendously vibrant volunteer group, The Friends ôf Old Christ Church, who provide multiple venues for your enjoyment. Be it the Beer festival, Christmas Fayre, monthly Flea market artisans and farmers market, Toys for Boys, Sefton Coast exhibit, Sefton big Art Draw and much more that you can only be delighted with . Wheelchair accessible. Hot snacks, soup, tea and ccoffee served by caring staff.
It is a grade listed building that they beautifully maintain with active fund raising through events and raffles tickets sold by the indefatigable Brenda Murray, a founder member

Its a lovely looking church inside and out

I don't believe in taking photographs inside religious buildings but they don't appear to have a problem if you do it discreetly

Its interior is spectacular and the place is extremely tranquil

This building must certainly be magic because once visited it draws you back time and time again. Its a magnificent example of architecture from the late 19th century that has stood the test of time. Even though this building is no longer used for worship it continues to bring the community together, sharing crafts and interests alike and I was so taken with it back in 2007 that I continued to visit the events on a regular basis and now organiser the craft & vintage fairs. The September Fair was a great success with over 700 visitors on the day and now I am looking forward to The Fair Before Christmas on Saturday 10th November 2012 it's free entry for all the family to come along and experience this magical building for themselves learn of its history and be apart of its future. Lovely atmosphere, great friendly people and lots to look at with over 50 stalls of crafts, vintage wear and collectables.
