From walking in the service from the management was appalling. To be told it wasn’t policy to have a certain meal from kids menu as an adult with dietary needs and a terminal illness is shocking. Service was slow in terms of food coming out and drinks being brought to the table. Food however was okay and coming from someone who loves Frankie and Benny’s okay standard food is not okay. However our table was then taken over by a lovely waitress called Karen who was apologetic and a genuine person who cared about her customers and the service. If the review was based on her service it would be 5* however over the experience was shocking.

We visited on a relatively quiet Sunday night. Our waitress appeared unduly stressed and unable to operate the handheld machines used for ordering.

There were four in our party and we ordered drinks, mains and sides. Not exactly a shipping order. Despite this we waited over an hour, during which time our waitress assured us several times 'its coming now'.... We were then told the delay was due to one of our meals being salmon, which apparently takes longer! Despite this, the salmon meal emerged first.... And ten minutes later another meal emerged.... Still no sides though!! The two meals were finished when the third arrived, a burnt and dried out pizza, which was sent straight back.

The manager came to our table to apologise, and to be fair she was lovely and helpful and obviously fighting a batt of epic proportions with her staff. Glad to say the new Edge Lane restaurant is opening soon, so we won't need to visit this branch again any time soon!

My daughter and I visited f bs on Friday 16th March at lunch time we both ordered steak and fries @£12.95each we waited 30 mins and when it arrived was missing the mustard sauce we asked and was given a one very small dish with a miserly amount of sauce there was about 12/15 chips oops I mean “fries” on the plate a few mushrooms and two onion rings my daughter asked for well done steak but it was bloody so we swopped steaks . My rump steak was at least 75% gristle and inedible .we ordered dessert which was ok but sparse two Diet Pepsi cost £6:30 and the bill was £43 odd change
We previously went to a carvery and for four people the bill was £38 ??! No comparison . We should have had 20% Travellodge discount but although we asked for it we didn’t receive it. Previous visits to F&Bs were really good but since the new menu the food is top price and poor quality will not go there again

Took daughter and 3 grandchildren for Sunday lunch.
Staff efficient and friendly.
Food very average
We ordered pepperoni pizza, it was dry, lacked toppings and bland. We sent to back.

Stayed in the Travelodge which is right beside F&Bs. Just called in for a night cap on the Sunday evening at about 8pm . Didn't eat but the food looked fairly good. At about 8.30 I went to get 'one for road' and was told that they had actually turned all the draught beer off and were cleaning the lines. I was really disappointed as the place didn't actually close until 10pm!! Was offered the choice of bottled beer which was more expensive than the £4 we paid for the draught beer! Politely refused and left very disappointed!
