We stayed two nights to enjoy the lights.
This hotel offers fantastic value for money - is it modern, no but it's clean and for want you pay and what you get you really can't complain!!
Breakfast - good range of things and a nice hot breakfast - nothing is too much trouble. Included in the price is your evening meal which you choose at breakfast time - good choice of traditional family favourites. We all agreed that the choice and quality of the food was very good.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and like I mentioned earlier nothing was a problem.
We stayed for the entertainment one night and we had a good laugh and a great night - won a meerkat at the quiz and even got a line on the bingo. The singing and dancing part of the show was also very good. We were impressed with the drinks prices and even when I asked for something they didn't have they went out of their way to get it for me for later on in the night - now that's service!!
Was lovely watching the sunset while enjoying a drink. It's in a very good position on the sea front and a carpark just across the road.
Only thing was the rooms were very hot but listening to some people they liked this.
Would I go back if staying in Blackpool again - yes without question!

Where to start ,our room 107 paid extra for sea view the room very poor all furniture falling to pieces wardrobe and bedside cabinet worse carpet stained never hoovered and bedroom not cleaned properly needs a makeover and a duster . It seems this hotel concentrates on the food and entertainment which were first class , Martin and ang and staff very good hosts nothing to much trouble . Otherwise a good stay and just constructive criticism .

This hotel failed to deliver on the basics and was vastly over priced for what it delivered, or perhaps more precisely what we were looking for.

The most balanced view is that if offers a decent breakfast and good entertainment (though somewhat Phoenix Nights).

It also significantly falls down on room quality, decor and cleanliness.

The beds and mattresses were old, the furniture wouldn't have been accepted by a charity shop, the bathroom was dingy with a shower than had a mind of its own. There only temperature on the radiator was stifling. The quality of the downstairs bar area and draught beers was frankly abysmal.

At about half the rate we paid it might have been acceptable, but not at around £90 per room per night. The hotel basically needs a massive investment to get it up to a decent standard and this cannot be masked by the apparent friendliness of the owners and an evening show.

We booked this hotel so that we could stay over night and attend a private function, so after reading the reviews on Booking.com we booked it. It's a long way out for the main attractions, but I should have researched that. So if your going into town you might have to get taxis.
When we arrived parking was an issue as the four parking places at the front were taken. We checked the rear of the property as requested by the receptionist, which was a residential street and it was also full. We eventually parked on a council car park across the road ( The other side of the roundabout, Gynn Square) It was for £9.00 for 18 hours which we needed, that was the only one available.
The property next door to the hotel is empty, which makes the hotel look worse.
The hotel looks tired from the outside, the decor in the property is ok but not a 8.8 rating, as per Booking.com which describes it as "fabulous." I'm guessing thats the regulars giving their feedback, Well i'd like to disagree. It's old fashioned and more like a 6.0 to 6.5. It does have a lift.
The room we were shown to was an up grade so I'm afraid i don't know what the room was like we was supposed to be having, but the one we had was small, with shower, but did have a sea view. But we didn't come to sit in the room and look over the bay.
The bed was small and on a comfort scale id say it was a little on the hard side. However, the sheets were clean, but the curtains didn't close properly. Before we went to our functions we called into the basement where the cabaret is held. It's a small area where they were holding a quiz when we went down, It has a small bar area, it all reminded me of a smaller version of Phoenix nights/ or Wheel Tappers and Shutters club, but without Peter Kay to give the laughs. it all seemed little surreal. There was supposed to be dancers on later but we didn't stay for the full night, we were clapped out as we left, because our door key wouldn't work in the main door earlier, and this was shared with everyone by the compare , lol. Not our cup of tea but the regulars in there seem to like it. The Pictures on Booking.com give an impression of grander but it's not like that.
The next morning we went to breakfast, the breakfast was above average with either cereals or cooked breakfast or both, they also did decaff coffee.
When we went back to our room to pack to leave, I moved the bed I had int this the previous day i would have gone back down stairs to complain to the management, however, there was thick dust under the bed with assorts of other rubbish, packets wrappers etc.
Needless to say we won't be going back here again. Not worth the price we paid .

Can I start by saying thanks for your feedback. we value any comments and try to improve what we do all the time.
We do have limited parking, as many of the promenade hotel in Blackpool have and in this instance I can only apologise that you found it difficult to find a space.
Sadly so far as the property next door being empty, there is nothing we can do about that and we are sorry that this spoiled your experience of staying at our hotel.
The outside of our hotel is shown on some of the pictures that have been contributed by other guest giving feedback and is as its shown. Obviously not to your taste.
Our sun lounge and reception areas are clean and well maintained and are decorated in keeping with the age of the hotel (105 Years).
You were in one of our standard seaview rooms it has a standard size double bed with a new memory foam mattress. In our opinion we have the best view on the promenade.
We are all about the entertainment and food and would like to thanks you for your kind comments with regards to breakfast, our evening meals are equally as tasty and far surpass what you would expect for the price you pay. I do not feel the need to comment on our entertainment as the many excellent reviews on this web site speak for themselves.
We would like to apologise for the dust under the bed, we do have a system were rooms are deep cleaned on a regular basis. Due to your feedback we will review our system and see if we can improve this.
On this occasion it would seem that we aren't the hotel for you, we thank you for giving us a try.

Sara and Myself visited Hotel Belvedere over the August Bank Holiday for 2 nights Friday to Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we're made very welcome by everybody at the Hotel.

Martin and Angela do a great Job entertaining in the Evening in the Showbar but also they wait on at Breakfast and Angela waits on at Dinner at night so they have to be applauded for all the time they put in to their job and also how friendly they are to everyone who stays at the Hotel. It makes you feel like you're part of their family however long you stay there.

The room we had (107) was a sea view room (£5 extra per person) but was worth the extra. The room itself was a little on the small side and basic but had everything you needed and more importantly very clean although the bed was very soft but for 2 nights it did the job.

The Meals both at Breakfast and Dinner were ample and also a good choice. Breakfast was Cereal or Porridge, Juices, Cooked Breakfast or other variants, Toast and Tea or Coffee. Dinner was a choice of 3 dishes but you could have Steak as a extra (£10 per person). All food whether Breakfast or Dinner came out Hot on hot plates so it was very tasty and enjoyable. You got a menu at Breakfast to make your choice for your meal at night so you ticked what you wanted. It helps them keep wastage and costs down so we're all for that and I don't blame them doing it that way.

The Evening Entertainment in the Tropicana Showbar was very good all night with Bingo and a Quiz first before Martin and Angela and 2 other female members of staff did their own show before another guest artist finished the night. Also they do a Cash ball in the bag as well so we entered everything they offered. Martin is a born entertainer and was very funny with his jokes but also sung and did some really clever magic which we can't work out how he did it. Angela and her other 2 lady staff transformed themselves into the Tropicana Showgirls and we're very good in their own right with what they did. The Showbar is in the basement of the Hotel and didn't open till 7.30pm which we liked as it stops people trying to reserve seats so it's a good setup.

They have a seaview conservatory room on the front of the hotel to sit in and relax and also a disabled lift at the front as well so it's a well run and friendly hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to go back again so we hope to see you again as soon as we can.

Thank you Martin, Angela and Staff for a very enjoyable and memorable stay at the Hotel Belvedere.
