We visited the restaurant based on the recommendation of the hotel we are staying at. We had not booked, but thankfully they were able to accommodate us. We found all the staff really friendly and helpful. The food was great, good quality. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone in Blackpool on holiday and looking for a good family meal. Great selection of pizza, pasta and specials. Our daughters had pasta and pizza, both really tasty. My husband and I had steak, both great. Another plus was the option for gluten free pizza and pasta.
After a busy day at the pleasure beach, this was just what we needed.

I would say ignore the negative comments, the food, staff and drinks were all great.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the food here is beautiful which is a credit to the chef as for the gentleman at the front of house he's a credit to the owner of the business. Now as for the negative comments if you read them it's not rocket science the people who have left a review seem to have friends or know someone in other restaurants. So my conclusion would be to go and try it for yourself and you won't be disappointed.

Head waiter is an insult to proper head waiters, this guy is clearly a clown and only allowed a job as he has something over the owner, never seen so many negative reviews about one man and he still has a job

We've all been to Italio before and have had mixed experiences but we thought we'd give it another whirl!

Booked a table for 8.45pm on a Saturday night and were bang on time but we had to wait in the drafty seating area for 20 minutes until our table was ready.

Whilst the waitress who took our drinks order apologised for our wait, the owner/manager was conspicuous by his absence and was making sure that the large table of customers in the restaurant were catered for whilst we were ignored. Even when we did get shown to our table and given our menu's from him there was still no apology.

We ordered our wine and food and whilst the Ipad is a nifty gizmo that aids the restaurant, it does nothing to engage the owner/manager with his customers as he prefers to grunt at you and tap away at his Ipad rather than say hello, engage with you and welcome you to the restaurant.

The food itself was very good and credit goes to the kitchen for that.

We'd finished our meal and instead of being "looked after" by the owner/manager we were left to sit at our table and go to the bar ourselves to pay. We were offered a complimentary drink on departure but as that too took ten minutes to not arrive we made our excuses and departed.

We live locally and won't be back. Go to Ambrosini's if you want quality food with quality hospitality.....if they ever moved to Highfield Road then I'm sure Italio would suffer as a consequence....time to up your game Mr Paul Hollywood jnr!
