Once again we had the pleasure of dining at Mchalls bistro whilst staying in the BnB.
Gavin prepares the food from scratch with local produce in a style of bistro a la carte..if that makes sense ?.Marj being a veggie is always guaranteed a choice of delicious mains, and the soup starter is usually so nice i have it as well, but on this occasion i chose the fresh crab cakes...omg..worth a visit just for these..This time Marj chose a butternut squash pasta dish...it didnt disapoint.
I tend to try the special which on this occasion was steak pie, well, ive had a lot of pies...lol,but this was tastier than any of them, light pastry and tender meat.Added to that fresh veg and mash with lashings of gravy...
Pudding was spotted dick with custard twice, this was recomended by Danny, who is also front of house man, waiter, dancer, singer and comedian extroadinaire..in the risque style of a modern Frankie Howerd..and it was an inspired choice, the lightest tastiest dick we've encountered with custard topping.
The ambience in the bistro is always mellow and friendly, music is well chosen, and matches the eclectic decoration with posters adorning the walls of the hundreds of theatre stars that have stayed in the BnB eaten at the bistro...
We are already looking forward to next time..Marj n Baz ..xx

This place is amazing when we arrived Daniel greeted us with genuine warmth that immediately made us feel comfortable relaxed and very welcome! The Sunday lunch was delicious it was beautifully cooked and well presented.. We have already booked for when we return to Blackpool in April, and we were really looking forward to seeing Daniel again and eating the beautiful food that Gavin cooks.

After three years McHalls is still our favourite place to go on a Friday night. Danny and Gavin just keep giving us brilliant food and a brilliant experience. I can't recommend eating here enough and whatever your taste, there's always something on Gavin's regularly rotated menu for you and Danny will make sure you are well looked after and entertained. With these two on their (well deserved) holiday, our Friday night just hasn't been the same. Counting the days until they're back.......

Me my partner and my sister booked a table on my birthday before seeing funny girls. Daniel was very friendly and welcoming and made us all laugh on numerous occasions. The food is exceptional very good prices around 80 pounds for a three course meal for three people including a bottle of wine and other alcoholic beverages. We was seated in a timely manner and had booked the table a few nights before we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and we left feeling full, happy and ready to carry on for a night of fun. I would definitely recommend visiting this wonderful bistro for an evening meal you will not be disappointed. We will be eating here again next year thank you Daniel
