“good value out of season”
Reviewed 19 March 2011

Make good use of the babysitting service and the time out clubs. My two boys aged 22 months and 4 years are quite shy and dont mix very well but were well looked after by both these services. I can recommend both. We went the 2nd week in march and got an excellent deal £499 for a 4 bed, newly refurbished, detached villa with infra red sauna. with daily maid service. It was very clean and nicely decked out except for the couches. very , very uncomfortable, and tiny cushions, no good for lying watching tv when the kids have gone to bed.
Found a couple of minor things wrong, such as grill not lighting and a few bulbs out, but reprted them in the morning and they had been fixed by the time we got back to the house in the afternoon.
All in all, had a fab time, but wouldnt be able to afford it out of term time!

Accommodation, facilities and food first class. Its what you make of it. Do you want quiet or active the Park provides for either. Swimming, cycling, walking all safe well supervised. Night life could be more varied for night hawks who dont have children to care for. Although it could be a costly holiday it can also be very cheap if thats what you wish. Would recommend every time.

Travelled to Winfell as we like to stay at the Lakeside Apartments as there is only the 2 of us and maid service is included (dishes washed and beds made every day). Staff are very helpful as always. The parc supermarket is well stocked and prices are reasonable for a captive audience. The accommodation is all that we needed and although the bed was very comfy neither of us slept particularly well but we cant blame the bed (probably just takes more time to chill out). The pool area is realy nice and would benefit of an adults only area so if you are old enough to have outgrown taking the kids on holiday then you should have the option to go somewhere where you dont have to suffer any other little darlings (Victor Meldrew moment !). We had an evening session at the Aqua Sana and found that sooper dooper (£44 for the pair of us and well worth it). Very relaxing and no kids !. We have been visiting Centre Parcs for 20yrs now and overall we find each Parc just a nice place to go and chill. If you have a 'Kindle' make sure you download your books before you go as we couldnt get a connection using the free wifi.

Excellent accommodation and staff. Every one was there to make sure you had a good time. Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of choice of things to do. Would have liked more of a choice of coffee shops though as starbucks is not one I would choose.

whinfell in opinion is the perfect centre parks, not too spread out yet not too cramped, the service is fantastic, the food is top notch and if you book the activities out of peak they are good value, in peak and you pay premium like everywhere. we have been there for past 10 years and will be back
