“So much more than I Expected!”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed for 2 nights in heavy rain in March, with 2 small children. I had no idea how large the amount of living space would be. the ceilings are so high, this is an amazing old building, and we were privileged to have called it home for 2 nights. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. They too were spacious and they were not dark and gloomy as there are windows, despite it being a basement.
The garden was amazing, the boys ran around and enjoyed hearing the lambs bah'ing. The views were amazing, I would definitely recommend this place very highly. Only area for improvement would be some high quality bed linen!

“Must visit”
Reviewed 23 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Beautifully laid out apartment, clean and well presented with household needs. There is nothing negative to say about this place. The view Was peaceful, thinking, happy view looking at the mountains, clouds overlapping them. Very colourful. I have already started recommending this place to family and friends and will definitely visit again but longer stay next time.

“Wonderful views!”
Reviewed 9 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Huge two-floor apartment in Keswick 5 minutes from town center. Nice, high ceilings and long windows that help enjoy scenery. Fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with heated floor. Large living room with cozy fireplace. Good selection of books and movies. Good parking. Telescope unfortunately was not in working order as was fireplace located in one of the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Management Response
14 Mar 2017
Just to clarify - the fireplace in the master bedroom as seen in picture 18 is obviously decorative and should never be used to light fire!! (There is an electric heater in the bedroom for warmth.) Like many Victorian properties, there are fireplaces in many rooms that are not actually used these days to light fires. The one in the bedroom does not have a hearth, has fairy lights draped inside it to make it decorative, and carpet right up to it. Our instruction folder specifically states not to use it as a fire!! This is in contrast to the fireplace in the main living room which is well used as an open fire and provides a lovely cosy focal point to the room on a cold day.

“Worth it just for that view.”
Reviewed 20 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Beautiful house. Beautiful location. Bedrooms and bathroom finished to a high standard. The living room or drawing room(?) was very grand, high ceilings, original fireplace and great views. The only thing preventing a 5 star review was that the kitchen in the conservatory looked a little tired. The microwave was damaged, fridge sounds like it’s on its last legs, cracked glass on the shelf. That said, I would still go back just for that view.

“Lovely apartment, stunning views, great location.”
Reviewed 17 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Stunning views across the valley and a great location with easy access to Keswick. The kids loved Whinlatter and the Gruffalo trail which is about 5 mins away. Loads of space in the house with some lovely features. It was great to relax in front of the open fire after an action packed day. We'd visit again!
