Good easy going hostel, was initially here for 4 nights but extended up to 6 nights. The staff are very helpful and are always up for a chat, making this place feel as comfortable as possible. Keswick - best area in England, gorgeous scenery, friendly people and great pubs with great ales. What more do you want..

We stayed in Keswick last weekend. Denton house had the necessary necessities for our stay. With a drying room, 4 comfy beds, a comfortable dining room/ communal area and some hot showers to burn off the stink you acquire from hiking up scar fell and mountain biking in winlatter forest... We really couldn't complain.

Local pubs to go for:
The odd fellows arms (this place was lit)
The Dog and Gun (very nice)
The Back Bar (nice pool and darts area)

Best place in town : easily Denton House. Kim is an absolute babe. And I honestly think I fancied her.

Stayed at Denton House with a group of friends and found it a very clean and welcoming hostel. Staff were very helpful and the accommodation was very comfortable.
Close enough to centre of Keswick but still quiet. Very handy for groups.
Would happily recommend for a cheap stay in the lakes. Also close to the did railway for access to walks.

Have stayed here numerous times . Every time it's been a great stay ! Would recommend to anyone who needs a good bed for the night . Clean and tidy and close to the centre of Keswick . A cooked breakfast is a great option . Will be back again soon . Thankyou .

I was really happy I chose this place for a last minute hiking getaway. The location is great, just a ten minute walk into Keswick, and there is a bus stop literally next door at the Twa Dogs Inn so you don't have to walk all the way out from Keswick with luggage. The place has great facilities, a large dining room, comfortable tv lounge and a good kitchen. The only thing I would complain about in the kitchen is the lack of an oven...all food has to be nuked in the microwave or made in a pan. One of the things I really liked was the little cabinet with food/drink snacks in and the honesty box - it was easy to pick up things for lunch in the mountains and super cheap too. The 6 bed female dorm I stayed in 'catbells' was comfortable albeit a bit small for six people and big rucksacks. The roof covering was plastic and transparent which made the rain very loud and the bright sunlight woke me up very early every morning. I also got very unlucky with my roommates who were extremely loud snorers but that's not the hostels fault. Overall a great base for exploring the Northern/north western and western fells.
