“Beautiful presented cottage”

We stayed over the weekend with family and 2 young children, On arrival the cottage was beautiful presented and spotless.

The open plan space is excellent for spending time with family and the upstairs living space is warm and cozy.

Everything you could ask for is provided in the cottage and is also a great location for heading into any of the local towns.

We would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends if wanting to stay in the lakes.

“Excellent - would recommend”
Reviewed 17 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house - just wished we had booked for longer! Our children loved the bunk bed room, and all the beds were lovely and comfortable. Everything was clean and the whole place was lovely and homely. Thank you!

“Had the best time, so sorry to leave”
Reviewed 7 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed in Ashstead Farmhouse for 8 days and had a lovely time. It's a bit off the main road, so totally safe for our kids to wander around outside. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. Helen was a very gracious hostess and her lovely kids were very friendly.
The only thing that was a bit problematic was the erratic wifi, which was difficult because my husband needed it for work.
All in all-a great time was had by all.

A super old farmhouse, as a family of 8 we had a great time. Kids loved the active farm setting - Helen and family were informative and involved our kids in a few duties. The house was clean, warm and as described. We enjoyed visiting the Lakes and this location just north of Selside was perfect. 15 min north of Kendal, supermarket 10 min away by car and good access to Windemere, Ambleside, Keswick etc. Great. Recommend highly.

“Perfect getaway”
Reviewed 18 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

What a fantastic find, we recently stayed for 2 nights, there was myself, my husband, our 13 month old daughter and our friend from Belgium.
We wanted to show our friend the beautiful sights of the lakes and couldn't have asked for a better place to do it from.

The owners couldn't have been more helpful. There was a high chair and travel cot all set up so we didn't have to waste space in the car bringing our own and we were left some essentials such as milk, bread, tea, coffee etc. these were very welcomed after a busy day hunting sheep and lambs in Windermere.

Fantastic value for money, will be recommending to anyone who will listen and hope to book again in the future.
