“Fabulous family break”
Reviewed 25 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

A very charming house in a beautiful location. 6 Adults, 2 dogs and plenty of space. After a long walk it was lovely to bbq in the garden and on other occasions take a short stroll into the picturesque village and eat in the various pubs serving excellent food. We have been here several times and can't wait to come back!!!

“Delightful and well equipped holiday home”
Reviewed 30 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We had a lovely week in this very comfortable and charming cottage. It's in a great location, just a short walk from Hawkshead village with a lovely selection of pubs and shops. Lots of great walks nearby too. The house is extremely well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, plenty of books and board games for rainy days etc etc. Beautifully furnished and very charming. Highly recommended.

“Relaxing holiday with the grandchildren”
Reviewed 4 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Being from north of the border with our daughter, son in law and delightful grand daughters from south we decided to holiday in the Lake District. As normal our daughter Lynne did her usual research and came up with this delightful converted farmhouse in Hawkshead. Despite the Lake District being awash with hundreds of visitors and with its normal rainfall we all found the farmhouse the perfect location for the three generations. We were able to travel to all the local sites and on returning to our base it was either a relaxing walk into the village for dinner and drinks or a night round the BBQ before retiring into the quaint ambiance of our temporary abode for a peaceful nightcap.
Truly excellent experience.

“A charming traditional cottage in a peaceful village location”
Reviewed 17 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

This cottage is exactly as described - traditional and cosy. It was perfect for our group of eight adults and a baby with charming bedrooms, a delightful dining room and two fireplaces. It is a very easy 5 minute walk to Hawkshead village and accessible to plenty of walks and attractions.

“A unique and peaceful property”
Reviewed 13 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Had a great new year break with many of the family present. This unique farm house catered for, and was loved by us all (ages from 7 to 57). Would definitely go back again.
