Dope burger used to be something Hull could be proud of, however, they now seem to be a victim of their own growth and no longer offer gourmet food, high quality service or even just good fast food.

A few weeks ago I ordered 2 burgers and 2 chips, and was told it would be a 25 minute wait. This turned into a 45-50 min wait where I also witnessed other customer order mistakes, and customers in an almost empty restaurant having to wait 5 minutes just to have their order taken. After complaining to the staff that a 45 minute wait was unacceptable for my order, they claimed that 20 minutes over the claimed timeframe was acceptable and handed me a bag containing my cold food. Without discount, these two cold burgers and chips that took over 45 minute would have cost £27, hardly an award winning or high quality service.

I have reached out to Dope Burger through two separate email addresses to raise these issues, both of which were ignored.

DON'T BOTHER!! save your money and go elsewhere! We ordered two pizzas and fries for a Saturday night treat. The delivery driver dropped off the food after about an hour's wait. I took one bite of the supposedly vegan Bolognese pizza and knew straight away it was meat. I passed it to my husband who confirmed my suspicions. As a strict vegetarian for over 30 years I was really annoyed and upset. My vegan pizza with 'chickn' was okay but nothing special. All of the food was luke warm. I called the take away to let them know of the error and the guy I spoke to said it was just a mistake, sorry. Frankly the response was not good enough and I have zero confidence ordering from there again. Absolute waste of money!

Great food and amazing service would dine here again. The food came out quickly and the staff was very friendly and understanding

Took my girlfriend to dope burger and she loved it that much a few weeks later she wanted to go again which we did, this time her brother joined us, all three burgers was super tasty however the cheesy chips was a bit naff but still ate them

Unfortunately the music was that loud we struggled to have a conversation, I’m all for music in fact I love it, however I was eating dinner not at a rave, that been said I’ll be returning…

Owner should definitely stock Rio drinks though!

Genuinely the best burger I have ever eaten. I went for the Hickory Dope Burger, Jerk Fries, Baconaisse and an IPA, with change from £20. So pleased I made the trip here whilst I was in town, highly recommended. Staff were super friendly too.
