A very nicely modernized and comfortable room, and Tam was an excellent and accommodating hostess. Breakfast was excellent. I would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at Acacia Lodge when going to wedding nearby. It was a very brief visit and I had looked at many hotels which were unable to accommodate us. It was then when I looked at Acacia after seeing good reviews on trip advisor. They we extremely accommodating and understanding of our early arrival time. A very friendly couple look after the lodge and advised us where to go in town, best taxis to the airport etc. and we more than happy to help us out in any way. The rooms were comfotable and spotless. Finished off with an excellent breakfast before our homeward journey. I would definitely go again.
I work in the Marketing Department of a large company that organises Study Tours to the UK, and when three of our adult guests found themselves arriving in Canterbury with no-where to stay because of a booking mix-up, Tam and Mark, the proprietors, stepped in to sort them out the same night. Well, it was actually about 1am by the time everything was sorted.
Unbelievably helpful of them :-) We recommend them unconditionally.
Cannot really add much more than has been written before. My review :-
- excellent location - just far enough away that walking back from a meal was welcome
- indeed a very friendly and hospitable couple
- excellent breakfast cooked to order (very good quality bacon and sausages)
- the room we had was small, we only stayed a night, but if you had a suitcase that you needed to keep laid out, you would be falling over it
- overall well worth the money and would definately stay again
We stayed for a weekend in march and were impressed with the friendly atmosphere in this b&b. The location is a short walk from the centre of town and the free parking is very handy. Shower pressure was good and the bed was comfy. The owners really went the extra mile. Would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay and intend to return. We parked the car and walked in and out of Canterbury all weekend. The double room was quite cosy but had everything we needed. The breakfast was good but the star feature of the weekend was the wonderful welcome. Thank you Tam - and all the family.
