A very well equipped and clean unit at the bottom of the owners garden. You can use the garden with table and chairs provided so pleasant in good weather. On road parking but not a busy street. Takes about 20 mins brisk walk through a housing estate into the centre of Canterbury. We found Canterbury very quiet at night but we did stay mid week. Might be livelier on a weekend. Day times were busy with a nice buzz to the place.

Liked best: Well equipped, modern and clean accommodation
Liked least: Location just a bit too far out of town, not really the distance but the fact that it is not a pleasant walk in.

We visited this apartment at the end of july 2015. We stayed for 2 nights. When we first arrived we were shocked that it was at the end of the owners garden. It did feel very odd walking down the side of the garden to get to the property. When we booked it was advertised as being able to accomodate 3 people and having an en suite and a bathroom. This has now been changed on the website to one bathroom and sleeps 2.
The place smelt as though it hadnt been in use for a while. The front door did not shut properly. You really had to slam it and the private garden that is advertised is really the back garden of the owner so you dont really feel as though you can sit out there.
There was no broom or dustpan and brush or a mat by the front door so after a lot of rain on the sunday even though we took our shoes off at the door it was very messy inside.
The bed is being supported by a bit of wood underneath. My partner and i are not heavy people, but we were scared to turn over in bed incase it gave way.
The tv in the kitchen is very small. You cant lay down on the sofa to watch it you would need to be sitting up. It would be best to have a bigger tv put in the bedroom.
I dont believe any one had been in to clean the appartment as you can see from the photos of the bathroom. There were also spiderwebs in the kitchen.

It was confirmed to you weeks before your stay that the property was situated "at the very end of our garden" with its own access. not sure what more you expect from a well equiped modern property which is surrounded by a beautiful garden in a quiet area and waken up by the birds......

“Not properly furnished”

We stayed there for 10 days and first impression was good. When we started using the utensils, we notice that there are loads of them are not in a good condition. One of the rice cooker is not even UK-pin, I think it's Hong Kong/Australian pin. We had to ask for another one and we get another rice cooker. Then after using it only few times, it didn't work too. She mentioned that she rarely use the rice cooker so I think that's the reason why. The bed was not properly furnished, there's this broken wood that stands the bed frame and the repair that we saw is just securing it with cellophane tape! We stayed there for so long and not getting a good sleep because our back hurts while lying on that bed. We don'y have any option to move to another place because it was graduation week and all hotels are fully book. So we just had to bare with it for few days.

All of these, it looks like the damages happened are from us. Hence, we don't get our deposit money back which I think is around 200 quid.

if you leave yellow curry everywhere (as the photos sent to you ) and wet the water all over the floor and iron on the solid oak wooden table and plus sleep 4 people without permission while told 3 and plus broke 2 brand new rice cookers then yes, the deposit will be deducted.

“Very good - just as described”

This was a pleasant surprise. A modern well equipped and comfortable though snug apartment with everything provided that one would expect, just as described. The landlady is charming and helpful and we had a good stay. We can confirm that the flat is wheelchair accessible with little effort. Despite an earlier comment the TV can be watched from the sofa and only the delay in getting hot water through the pipes from the main house is a minor issue. But the good shower works great with its own heater. Only the peacock shown on the web site was neither seen nor heard, fortunately.
