Wonderful place to relax and take it easy . If you want to get away from the traffic and the crowds , this is the place to go. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Nessa , who couldn't have done more .I think charming and idyllic are 2 words that would describe the experience. The house is very clean and contemporary. Nessa and John were wonderful hosts , it was lovely to arrive to homemade apple cake and bread and to have the basis in the fridge. Although very rural 10 to 15 minutes drive gets you back in the action , you can't beat Ashford for retail therapy ! Drymchurch is a beautiful beach and the chips are to die for ! Our 13 year old son really enjoyed the tennis court and the table tennis and the 2 bikes were great to check out the local villages . The week went by too fast, stay for 2 if you can !
Stayed here for a long weekend in February with friends and family and cannot recommend this little gem highly enough. The location is tranquil and very peaceful but a short walk across the field offers a very charming pub with great character and food. The accommodation is beautifully appointed and the welcome pack offers a lovely touch. The only trump to this beautiful barn conversation is the amazing hospitality from the owners Nessa and John. I can honestly say I cannot remember a warmer welcome and more accommodating couple in all of my travels.
Thank you so much Nessa and John and very much look forward to seeing you again.

This must be the best holiday house we have ever booked. Its position might be a little 'in the middle of nowhere', but that make it also very central. You can go to canterburry, whitstable, folkestone and a lot of other places. More than we could do in one week.
On arrival we were welcomed bij Nessa, the most generous host we ever met. We were welcomed with a delicious cade and homemade bread with butter and jam (very nice after the trip). There were also some beautiful flowers. We could book in 2 hours early, because the house was not booked in the week before us, very flexible. The house is just very cosy, and every detail is taken care of. There is lots of space around the house to play. There are outside games available and the tennisrackets and balls are alle there. The tenniscourt is very nice, we used it everyday. There is also table tennis.
Very nice is that there are some essentials already in the house, like clots for cleaning, matches and candles, dishwasher tablets and so on.
For the children was puppy Dulcie the best part of the holiday, they liked playing with here so much.
We would definitely advise people to book. You won't have any regrets.

Just home from a wonderful week away at this hidden gem of a place!
As we arrived down the long road we wondered where we were but from the moment we arrived we knew we'd found somewhere special.
We had such a warm welcome from Nessa and the most generous welcome hamper we've ever had including delicious cake and warm homemade bread.
The cottage is perfect. Tasteful, spotlessly clean, the comfiest beds, huge bath, fantastically equipped kitchen and lots of personal homely touches, there is a real feeling of warmth.
Our little one year old boy loved it too, watching the birds and rabbits in the garden and playing outside. The tennis court is a real bonus as well and we really enjoyed playing whilst my parents and the little one watched.
Although so rural it is a perfect base to explore the area. We especially loved day trips to Whitstable and Canterbury then coming back to our little hideaway and cooking with the local produce we'd bought in the day.
We feel really lucky to have found it and would love to return again one day!
