I used to come here for lunch and they served the most beautiful calamari and rustic foods. Having returned once or twice, the quality of the food has reduced alot. The steak came out cold, I sent back a whole starter of oily grimy white bait (and was still charged) and the burgers are always over-done and dry.

Please change your menu back, or the cooks... Just pure lazy!

Been here a few times for a casual lunch after a bit of shopping. The menu is ideal for a lunch or light snack, so make sure you check it before you go in as you may want a proper meal (they do serve burgers and other large meals but don’t always have a massive choice).

The open sandwiches are always tasty, and recent had ‘The Butchers Board’ which was amazing! The service is always good, and the decor is simple with lots of places to sit that aren’t crowded! Recommend for a casual lunch, snack or casual dinner!

Been there this year and also last year. There have been some changes and the quality of the food was not so good the last time I went. However, they offer very good portions and there is a lovely space to have your beer or your wine.

I visit the Shakespeare whenever I have the chance, as the food is DELICIOUS! This a traditional English pub and it has a variety of lovely dishes to try. The pub also has a wine bar, which is separated from the main pub by a nice outdoor seating area, away from the city rush. The staff are always very polite and efficient in the service they provide, despite busy periods. The food is also produced in a timely manner.

The only real downside that bothers me about the Shakespeare is they don’t take table bookings, so you’ll have to try your luck when trying to get into this popular place for food.
