Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Having booked for a Tuesday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were disappointed to get a call from Beth during the day informing us that, due to flooding, the restaurant would unfortunately not be able to open that evening. We were, however, offered a booking on Thursday and so were still able to enjoy a fabulous celebratory meal for two. One of the most memorable meals we have had which left us feeling uplifted by the whole dining experience. After a warm and enthusiastic welcome from Beth and an explanation of the way the restaurant works (essentially, smaller portions of great dishes prepared freshly and suitable for sharing - more than simply tapas or a sampler menu, but a similar wider experience) we had the opportunity to share exciting, tasty and beautifully presented dishes. Each dish worked well on their own but also complemented each other brilliantly. We were impressed by the taste and texture combinations as well as the appearance of each of the dishes we tried ( main ingredients of the four we had: goats cheese, crab, chicken and bean). The challenge was what not to choose - four dishes were plenty for us and allowed us to savour tastes rather than feel stuffed as is often the problem. Cheese cake and cheese board as desert, which were also tasty and well presented. We also enjoyed the opportunity to chat to Beth, who was welcoming, attentive and charming, and meet chef Adam who was also a pleasure to chat with. 100% recommend and definitely a restaurant we will return to as and when we come back to Hereford. (Excellent value for money also).
