The most beautiful little secret hideaway in a totally peaceful setting. A real escape from the rat race. Victoria was super friendly and breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely go back
Only a short drive away from Winchester City, this little hideaway was the perfect wedding night location for our daughter and her new husband. They loved the secluded location in a cosy corner of the main garden. They thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast which was delivered to the door at an agreed time and delighted in sitting in the sun looking around the beautiful garden of the owners. They and we would definitely recommend this little haven to others.
To start with, we were a bit worried that we could freeze due to the predicted freezing November night, Instead, it was super cozy, uber-cute, very private and homely. Morning sun hits your pillow and it brightens up the whole day. Nice walks around and Winchester within very easy range through country lanes. The village pub has great reviews though we didn't get a chance to check it out.
Another angle, If one is looking for a minimalist/cozy retreat, this is as close as it can get to the Bhutanese huts in Buddhist monasteries.
From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Fresh cake and tea waiting for us. Lovely garden even though the weather was grim it didn't matter.
Victoria is a welcoming friendly host willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable.
Breakfast arrived on time and was a tasty selection of fruit and bread and pastries.
We would love to stay again.
