Description: Opening in 2007, Mango is the original Thai Tapas Bar – setting a trend across the nation! It's a favourite among locals for its intimate charm and vibrant atmosphere. Offering an informal and fun dining experience, guests are encouraged to enjoy the menu as they would in Thailand – lots of dishes to share and taste together. Everything on the menu is made in-house and is freshly prepared by the expert team of Thai chefs. Much of the menu is cooked to order, so veggies, vegans, and gluten-free diets are well accommodated for. On two floors of a characterful Victorian building, you’ll find the spirit of northern Thailand’s capital Chiang Mai at this Mango: Bohemium and quirky, offering a relaxed and intimate dining experience with candle-lit themed rooms, exotic Asian furnishings, and vast glossy murals.

I visited for dinner, and the whole experience was lovely. I booked online, and was given a great seat. The service was quick and really friendly. They have a great menu, we ordered a mix of starters to share, and then a red curry and pad Thai for mains, both were absolutely delicious. This was probably the best red Thai curry I've ever had.
We were checked on regularly, so our drinks were kept refreshed and paying the bill was quick and easy.
I noticed on their menu they have a 'skip the straw, save a sea turtle' logo, amazing! I'm a big advocate of any initiative that reduces the use of single use plastics (straws, plastic bottles etc.) and it's great to see this restaurant helping this cause. They also use coconut milk tins as ash trays outside and to present the bill, with sweets inside, great bit of recycling, they looked really cool!
I will absolutely go back, the whole evening was fantastic.

Visited with my wife as we had heard good things but wish we hadn't bothered. We visited early and were the only one's in the restaurant. We ordered 6 tapas dishes and some pad Thai noodles. The noodles tasted terrible and were sent back as something was definitely off. We had satay chicken and it's the first time ever they had bones in. I thought chicken satay was meant to be breast meat but two of the four had bones in

HI Steve. Chicken Satay is indeed made out of chicken breast so we're having a hard time finding it possible that you found any bones. As suggested at the time, perhaps you mistook the bamboo skewer. Thai food is made up of four seasonings: salty, spicy, sour and sweet. Your waiter recommended our rice noodles as you said you weren't familiar with the food and wanted them plain, but instead you opted for a traditional Thai sweet and sour dish. It wasn't to your palate, it's not to mine either. I prefer salty and spicy – perhaps you would too.

A great selection on the menu for meat, fish and veg options.meals and snacks so good for any occasion.
a good selection of drinks.
Although small its cosy and seems quite private.
